Biographical / Historical

John Tucker (1701-1779) was a merchant and MP for Weymouth. He was married to Martha, daughter of George Gollop. The Tucker family had wide business interests in Dorset and beyond, and held the Surveyorship of the Crown's stone quarries in Portland.
