Biographical / Historical

The International Civil Service Commission (ICSC) was an independent expert body established by the United Nations (UN) in 1974. The body was designed to advise the UN on personnel standards, methods and arrangements.

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) was an international economic organisation established in 1961. The organisation was created as an international successor to the Organisation for European Economic Cooperation (OEEC), established in 1948, which was created to run the US-led Marshall plan for economic redevelopment in Europe following the Second World War.
