Elizabeth Cary, Viscountess Falkland (1585-1639), was a poet, dramatist, translator and historian. She was the wife of Henry Cary, 1st Viscount Falkland.

Owned by H.A. Lee-Dillon, 17th Viscount Dillon, who gave it to Burford parish in 1925.
