Biographical / Historical

Seymour Bowman (c 1621-1704) was MP for Old Sarum.

Custodial History

At fol. ii is a note concerning the MS. by Charles Lyttelton, later Bishop of Carlisle, who 'found it among a Heap of useless Papers & Tracts in ye old Study at Hagley Hall [Worcestershire]' before 1761. Later owned by the Salwey family of The Moor Park (Shropshire) and Overton (Shropshire) (H. M. C. Rep. X, App. IV, 1885, p. 409).
