Memoir, 1998, by William Tanzer, of the early workings of the United Nations and work in the Secretariat, 1945-1970.

Biographical / Historical

William Tanzer, (1910-2004), was a journalist and international diplomat. He worked as a journalist for German and Czech language newspapers before moving to the BBC in 1939. In 1945 he started working for the United Nations as a Charter Staff member where he was involved in many early United Nations projects.
