Thomas Henry [Fisher], pencil sketch of Richmal Crompton’s character ‘William Brown’. The sketch is undated but was probably made in the early 1940s when Fisher lived for a while at Wormington Grange Farm, near Winchcombe in Gloucestershire. This was the home of V.A. Newman and his family, to whom Fisher gave the drawing as a parting gift.
