Biographical / Historical
Dame Jean Iris Murdoch (1919-1999) was an Irish-born British author and philosopher who studied at Somerville College, Oxford. Wendy Campbell-Purdie (fl. 1967) was a pioneer planter, planting trees in the Sahara.
