Biographical / Historical

Bartholomew Churchill (d. 1780) was a hop dealer, tallow chandler, grocer and brandy merchant. He was married to Jane but had no children, and his business passed to his nephew, also Bartholomew. He died in 1780 leaving to various members of his family properties in Deddington (where he lived), Great Barford and Clifton as well as goods he acquired during his lifetime.
