    request
Comprises a list of the 'Regius Professors of Physick', 1535-1758, from the first Regius Professor, John Warner; together with a list of the Readers in Anatomy, 1624-1792, from the first Reader, Thomas Clayton. Often both posts were held by the same person. The list includes a brief biography and curriculum vitae for each man, with sources given. There are detailed notes (fols. 2-8) on the terms of the foundation of the Anatomical Lecture by Richard Tomlyn in 1623.

The original manuscript, written on the rectos, is by an unidentified author. The additional notes, written on the versos, are by John Gutch, the antiquarian. The additions by Gutch can be dated to 1794 (fol. 22v), 'He is the present Regius Professor of Medicine, 1794'.
