Abstract
Papers of Peter M. Gordon relating to Kenya.
Biographical / Historical
Peter Macie Gordon (1919-2000) served for three years as a District Officer in Kenya, at Kisii and Kisumu, and as an Acting Assistant Secretary at the Secretariat in Nairobi before taking the Colonial Service course in Oxford in 1949-1950, attached to Merton College. He became a senior district commissioner in 1957, an under secretary in 1960 and a permanent secretary in the Kenya Government Service, 1961-1964.

Files 1-5 were donated by Peter M. Gordon in 1967. File 6 was donated by his daughter, Dr Dillian Gordon, in October 2016.
