Biographical / Historical

Logie Weir Wilson, OBE, was born in 1894 and educated at Giggleswick School, Settle and Trinity College, Dublin. After military service (1914-1919) he entered the British Colonial Service in Sierra Leone where he served as Assistant District Commissioner (1919); District Commissioner (1926); Admin[istrative] Staff G[overnor] (1940), and Chief Commissioner (1947).
