Biographical / Historical

R.O. Williams (fl 1920-1970), son of Robert Orchard Williams, colonial agriculturalist, was employed as Agricultural Officer, Kenya, from 1943. He then moved to British Guiana, where he was appointed Chief Research Officer, 1952, Assistant Director of Agriculture (Research), 1954 and Deputy Director of Agriculture, 1958. Moving to Sarawak, he was appointed Assistant Director of Agriculture (Research), 1959, Deputy Director, 1962 and Director, 1964.
