The History of Adamawa compiled from verbal information by Strumpell, Hamburg, 1912, English translation; contains pencil endorsement by A.H.M. Kirk-Greene, 'This is a copy of the document I found in Resident's Library, Maiduguri, typed for me by Levi Ohorego, 1956'. The name ‘Karl’ on the title page appears to be an error. The preface is signed by ‘Kurt Strumpell’ and the author is believed to be Kurt Friedrich Theodor Strümpell (1872-1947).
