Biographical / Historical

R.C. Parkin (fl 1918-1963) served as Assistant District Commissioner, Gold Coast from 1947, Administrative Officer Class II from 1953, and Class I from 1956, in the Ghana Civil Service. He worked in the Ugandan Treasury as Deputy Treasurer from 1958 and as Permanent Secretary (Supnmy.) at the Treasury from 1960. In 1961 he became Permanent Secretary, Economic Development, and Development Secretary, Uganda Government Service, 1962-1963.
