Abstract
Correspondence and papers of Professor Larry Weiskrantz relating to his academic career, with a file concerning a campaign for a cycle path in Oxford and the recording of a talk.
Biographical / Historical
Lawrence (Larry) Weiskrantz was born in 1926 and educated at Girard College and Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, at Oxford University and Harvard. In 1955 he returned to Oxford for a post-doctoral fellowship and then spent eleven years at Cambridge University on neuropsychological research. In 1967 he became chair of psychology at Oxford and a fellow of Magdalen College where he remained until retiring in 1993. He died in 2018.
