Biographical / Historical
Arthur Jefferies Collins (1893-1976) was educated at Merchant Taylors' School and Magdalene College, Cambridge. He was lecturer in palaeography to the School of Librarianship, London, and was Keeper of Manuscripts at the British Museum, 1947-1955.
Neil Ripley Ker (1908-1982) was Reader in Palaeography at Oxford University. For further information see the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography.
