Biographical / Historical
Oscar Patrick Wood (1924-1994) was a philosopher, who taught the subject of philosophy as Fellow of Christ Church, Oxford. He married Susan Chenevix-Trench in 1950. He did not publish much: an essay entitled 'Alternative Uses of "Or"' in Mind, the Philosophers' Journal, and an essay for the Aristotelian Society entitled 'On Being Forced to a Conclusion'. He also edited, with George Pitcher, Ryle: a Collection of Critical Essays (1970).
