Letters, some undated, written by Samuel Wilberforce to a variety of recipients including Jonathan Rashleigh of Menabilly, Cornwall, (7 Oct 1839), Gilbert Eliot, Dean of Bristol (Oct 1851), Thomas Erskine (25 Oct 1853, 7 Jan 1858 and 27 Oct 1861), Dean Trench (28 Aug 1857), Madame Van de Weyer (3 May 1858), Mrs Arbuthnot (7 Jun 1858) and Mrs Erskine (13 Nov 1864). One letter (17 Apr 1832), written to an unnamed recipient from Brightstone Rectory, mentions that Samuel's father, William Wilberforce, is staying with him and passes on William's kind remembrances.
With one letter to Samuel Wilberforce from J. Wilson Patten of Bank Hall, Warrington (24 Aug 1867), three letters (undated by year) from the Earl of Winton and a printed engraving of Wilberforce by D.J. Pound from a photograph by Mayall (n.d.).
