Walter de la Mare (1873-1956) was an author and poet. For further information, see the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography.
Sister Augusta ('Gussie') Clark was a nurse who looked after de la Mare at some point during the 1920s or early 1930s. She also helped look after the children of Walter de la Mare's son, Richard.
