Biographical / Historical

Sir Geoffrey de Freitas (1913-1982) was a politician and diplomat. He served as Member of Parliament (Labour) for Nottingham Central (1945-1950), Lincoln (1950-1961) and Kettering (1964-1979) and as British High Commissioner in Ghana (1960-1964) and Kenya (1963-1964). He married Helen Bell in 1938.
