Biographical / Historical
Michael H. Breese (fl 1947-1963) worked as an agricultural entomologist, Nyasaland, 1947-1951. He took the post of lecturer in zoology and entomology, ICTA, Trinidad, 1951-1957. He was then employed as entomologist at the Stored Products Unit, Regional Resources Centre, University of the West Indies, 1957-1963.

Custodial History
The Food and Cash Crops collection comprises material initially donated to the Oxford Development Records Project, which invited former members of the Colonial Agricultural Service to submit a memorandum dealing with their work in the development of food and cash crops after 1945 in the territories in which they served.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
The papers were donated to the library as part of the collection, Food and Cash Crops in 1984.
