  1. Essay: The Chancellor’s English Essay Prize - Constance Everett-Pite (Corpus Christi College) - ‘Green thoughts, Green Shades: remembering Homer with trees.’ The theme for this year was ‘Green Thoughts.’
  2. Poem: Jon Stallworthy Poetry Prize - Riley Faulds (Worcester) - 'Selfslip'. The theme this year was ‘Borders’.
  3. Poem: Lord Alfred Douglas Memorial Prize - Jordan Maly-Preuss (Merton College) - ‘Selvage’. The theme this year was “a sonnet or other poem written in English and in strict rhyming metre.”
  4. Essay: Matthew Arnold Memorial Prize - The 2024 Matthew Arnold Memorial Prize was not awarded. The theme this year was ‘We are only safe from one another's tyranny when no one has any power,—’
  5. Essay: Shelley-Mills Prize - Daniella Sakota (St Hilda’s College) - ‘Listening to Wind-Song: Soundscapes, Nets, and the Music of The Tempest’. The theme for 2023-2024 was ‘Global Shakespeares’.
  6. Essay: Sir John Rhŷs Prize - Elisa Cozzi (Queen’s College) - ‘From Dánta Grá to Dante: Irish-Italian Genealogies, 1350–1850’. Candidates were free to choose their own subject relating to ‘Celtic Languages, Literature, History and Antiquities.’
  7. Poem: Sir Roger Newdigate Prize - Shaw Worth (Magdalen College) - ‘At the Papal Palace’ and “After ‘Horses, Peacefully Farting & Snoring.’” The theme this year was “animals” and poets were also encouraged to work in syllabics.
