Biographical / Historical

Sir Thomas Henry Wait Armstrong (1898-1994) was an organist, conductor, composer and educationist. Further details of his life and work can be found in the Grove Music Online.

Mary Gotch (née Fox) was a violinist and music teacher. She married Bernard Cecil Gotch (1876-1963), an artist, in 1914. They lived firstly in Winchester, then in London and from 1925 in Oxford.
