Biographical / Historical
Jorge Camacho Cordón was born on 18 November 1966 in Zafra, Spain. He became a member of the Academy of Esperanto in 1992, and resigned from it in 2001. Since 1995 he has worked for the European Union as an interpreter from English and Finnish into Spanish.
He is best known for his Esperanto poems. He won several literary prizes, inluding the Grabowski Prize in 1992.
He visited Oxford in August 1993, the result of which was the present poem on Oxford.
