Papers include:

  1. Two deeds relating to small parcels of property on the hands of, or adjoining lands of, the Hobart family at West Somerton, Norfolk (1632), and Tonbridge, Kent (1701);
  2. Several notes and printed extracts relating to the pedigree of the Hobart, Hampden, Maynard and Egremont families with print or portraits including George, 3rd Earl of Buckinghamshire and Albinia his wife;
  3. Letter and newspaper cutting, 1788-1790, relating to Major Hobart, and letters, mostly from Isabella Druitt, wife of a later Major Hobart, from Government House, Madras, 1874;
  4. Ten printed pamphlets, articles and newspaper cuttings relating to John Hampden with further cuttings about Great Hampden village and general Civil War subjects, 1863-1903;
  5. Further cuttings and letter relating to John, 2nd Earl of Buckinghamshire, Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, 1776, and two cuttings, 1888, about family lands in Ireland;
  6. Miscellaneous papers including a copy of The Time for 22 June 1815, two books – one “Fragments” by Lord Hobart, Madras 1875, booksellers catalogue c. 1888, playing cards made in Buenos Aires [late 19th century?];
  7. and tickets for the Coronation of Edward VII, and a scrapbook mostly of copies of Isabella Druitt, 1865-1904.
