Biographical / Historical

A.R. Allen worked in Nigeria as an education officer in Kano, 1950-1951, acting provincial education officer, Plateau Province, 1951, education officer, H.Q., Kaduna, 1951-1952, provincial education officer in Katsina, 1952 and education officer (financial), H.Q., Kaduna, 1952-1953. He was provincial education officer, Katsina, to 1954, education officer (admin.), H.Q., Lagos, 1954, senior education officer (financial), H.Q., Kaduna, 1954-1956, finance officer, H.Q., Kaduna, 1956-1958, and senior education officer in Sokoto, 1958-1960. He also held position(s) as education officer in Nyasaland during roughly the same period.
