Biographical / Historical
Patrick Guilbride (1919-2012) was a veterinarian and bacteriologist. He worked in countries including Northern Rhodesia, Jamaica and Uganda. Under the auspices of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) he worked as International Co-Manager of a project to develop a Veterinary Institute for High Altitude and Tropical Research in the Peruvian Andes. He was there for ten years, before moving to Brazil to work on animal health and productivity problems. In 1975 he moved to Mozambique, where he finished his career.
Arrangement
The papers of Patrick Guilbride were previously catalogued as part of the Archive of the United Nations Career Records Project, but the decision was taken to separate them to form a collection on their own. The shelfmarks and the order in which they were originally catalogued have been maintained.
