Biographical / Historical

Charles Harris (1917-1998) was a consultant in local government and administration. His career included working for the British Council in Somalia, and for the United Nations Technical Assistance Board (UNTAB) on decentralisation in Saudi Arabia, Papua New Guinea, Cyprus and Nigeria.

Arrangement

The papers of Charles Harris were previously catalogued as part of the Archive of the United Nations Career Records Project, but the decision was taken to separate them to form a collection on their own. The shelfmarks and the order in which they were originally catalogued have been maintained.
