Collection of heralds' papers collected by George Nayler
Papers relate to pedigrees, arranged alphabetically by family and consist mainly of extracts from parish registers. There are many letters to George Harrison, Clarenceux, 1780-1814, and (fols. 419-443) two to George Nayler from Joseph Day, 1811, with printed proposals and a parliamentary bill for 'better regulating and preserving parish registers'.
