Biographical / Historical
Samuel Wilberforce (1805-1873) was Bishop of Oxford from 1845 to 1869. John Fielder Mackarness (1820-1889) was Bishop of Oxford from 1870-1889, and William Stubbs (1825-1901) was Bishop of Oxford from 1889-1901). Further details are given in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography.
