including poems by (fols. 4-8, 10v-12) William Seward, and (fols. 8v-10, 15-17, 19-21, 30-31) Henry Pye. Most of the recitations are printed in Poems, Odes, prologues, and epilogues spoken at… Reading School (London, 1804; 2nd end., 1826). Fols. 10v-14, 29, 30-31 contain unpublished verses, with (fols. 22-23) a published but variant text, ‘Prologue to the Captives’ [of Plautus], 1800.
