Abstract

Papers of Sarah Westcott relating to Rwanda, Chad, Lesotho and South Africa.

Biographical / Historical

Sarah Westcott worked in Lesotho as a representative of International Voluntary Service from 1978 until 1982. She then worked for Oxfam GB as Country Director in Chad from January 1986 until January 1991 and then, based in Oxford, as Regional Director for Central Africa (Zaire, Rwanda, Burundi, Chad) from March 1991 to November 1995, during the genocide in Rwanda.
