Biographical / Historical
Robert Frederick Mole (fl 1914-1988) was appointed to the Burma Civil Service in 1937, rising to the rank of Assistant Commissioner in 1938 and Deputy Commissioner in 1945, after a period of war service, 1943-1945. He entered the Colonial Administrative Service in 1947, becoming Principal Assistant Secretary, Sarawak, 1948 and Secretary for Defence, 1949. In 1955 he took the post of Assistant Secretary, Labour and Lands, Kenya. He served as Under-Secretary, Kenyan Government Service, 1957-1963.
