Richard Bagot (c.1530-1597) was a member of the Bagot family, one of the oldest families in Staffordshire. For more details see Dictionary of National Biography.

Possibly owned by Richard Bagot (d. 1597), educated at Cambridge University [Venn does not give a college], whoe arms appear at fol. 2; his son Anthony, b. 1558, was at Trinity.

Physical Facet

Inscribed (fol. 8v in a 16th-cent. hand, 'Emanuell [College, Cambridge?]. Mr Baggott of blesfeld Esquire]', and in another hand, 'Anthony'.
