Biographical / Historical

Gabrielle Pike was the daughter of Edward Sydney Woods, Bishop of Lichfield, and a relative of Elizabeth Fry. Former Chairman [sic] of the Federation of Women™s Institutes (1961) and sister of Janet Stone, she was particularly interested in the Royal Family (members of which she knew), in Society events, and the doings of Cothill House preparatory school, of which her husband, George, became Headmaster.
