Memorandum book of Frances Maria Vernon (nee Warren), wife of the 4th Baron Vernon
Containing recipes, lists of tradesmen and their wares, addresses and brief household and estate accounts. A later owner added (fols. 28v, 30v-34) further recipes and (fols. 29-30, 34v) lists of North American plants, the first marked to show roots owned by the writer, the second headed 'American Seeds given us by Dr. Bromfield – August/47'. Fols. 37-79 are blank.
