Photocopies of typed transcripts of ten letters from James Elroy Flecker to Leonard Cheesman [ca. 1903] – 1913. Comprises:
- (fol. 2) A poem entitled “Hylas” [ca. 1903]
- (fol. 4) An untitled poem “The flat provincial town…” [ca. 1907]
- (fol. 6) An unpublished poem entitled “Idwall”, n.d. The photocopies were made from transcripts typed by John Sherwood, from originals now lost. ‘Hylas’ and “The flat provincial town…” were published by Martin Booth in James Elroy Flecker: unpublished poems and drafts (Lond., 1971).
- At fols. 9-10 is a photocopy of an autograph poem entitled “For Christmas 1912”, posthumously published in a revised form as ‘A sacred dialogue’ in The collected poems of James Elroy Flecker (Lond., 1916).
