Time and Place, an anthology of short poems, chosen for their ‘geographically sentimental’ character and formally written out on parchment in 1938 or before by the calligrapher William Graily Hewitt, using ink made to a 17th century recipe, with (fol. 21) a typed list identifying the poems. The first poem is William Morris’s A Garden by the Sea, beg. ‘I know a little garden close…’. Binding in full blue morocco by W.H. Smith & Son Ltd., in a fitted box.
