The initiation], by Ivan Semenovich Barkov (1732-1768), with (fols. i-ix) a letter from Raitzyn giving the history of the original manuscript and of the transcript. Other photocopies of the text are held elsewhere, including the library of the Academy of Sciences, Leningrad, and the Bibliotheque Mazarine, of Paris.
