Biographical / Historical
Stanley Howard Johnston was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1946. He graduated BA from Columbia University, New York in 1968 and took his MA at the University of Western Ontario in 1970. He stayed at the University of Western Ontario, completing his PhD on the Anglo-Norman printer, Richard Pynson, in 1977.
