Biographical / Historical
Rennie Smith (1888-1962) was a lecturer and journalist. He was Labour MP for Penistone 1924-1931, secretary of the Friends of Europe organization from 1933, and a civilian officer in Germany 1946-1949. Details are given in Who Was Who.

The papers were given to the Library by Mrs. J.H. Kille, daughter of Rennie Smith, in 1968.
