Manuscript copy of the biography of Oliver Cromwell, published as The perfect politician or, a full view of the life and actions (military and civil) of O. Cromwell (London, 1660)
The manuscript differs only slightly from the printed version, but the initials at the end of the author’s preface, printed as ‘I.S.’, have been altered in the manuscript (fol. 1), and are no longer legible. Anthony Wood ascribed the biography to Henry Fletcher, a London bookseller (see pr. bk. Wood 243/3).
