Armorial pedigree roll of the family of Hickman of Gainsborough (Lincolnshire) and previously of Woodford (Essex) recording their descent from Robert Hykeman of Bloxham (Oxfordshire), ob. 1272, written after the marriage of Elizabeth, daughter of Walter Hickman [28 April, 1617], and probably before the marriage of Elizabeth, daughter of Henry Hickman, LL.D. [3 March, 1624/5], which is added in a different hand and ink. All the names are included in the pedigree of the family printed in Harleian Society, LI, 1903, pp. 493-5.
The roll also includes summaries of three deeds, 26 Edward I – 1328, concerning the manor of Wickham (Oxfordshire) sold by William Hykeman in 1328, and of a deed witnessed by William Hykeman, 7 Edward II, with drawings of the seals of Robert of Wikeham, 1316, and William Hykeman, 1328.
