Hale Family Muniments, comprising documents of Sir Matthew Hale as an executor of John Selden:

  1. (No. 1.) Appointment of John Selden, Esq. to be a Governor of the Charterhouse Hospital, 3 Dec 1645;
  2. (No. 2.) Assignment by Elisha Coysh to to John Selden of a mortgage on books and manuscripts ('the most part in the Eastern Tongues') of Christianus Ravius, a High German, except 33 books mentioned in a schedule attached to the deed, 5 Aug 1652;
  3. (No. 3.) Assignment of Jewels and plate, sums of money, goods and chattels late of John Selden Esq. in trust for Sir Matt[hew] Hale and others;
  4. (Nos. 4-5.) Accounts of Roland Jewkes, jun., for the exe[cuto]rs., 1655, 1656;

  7. (No. 16.) Account of sums paid to William Lydall signed by Sir Matt[hew] Hales, 1659;
  8. (No. 17.) Receipt to Selden's executors for 3 books for the Archbishop of Armagh [manuscript].
