The collection chiefly comprises bound volumes of Oxford University Boat Club Presidential reports on preparations for, and assessments of, various races, including Trial eights, Torpids, the University Boat Race, eights week and the Henley Regatta, as well as other sculls, pairs and fours competitions. The earlier volumes also contain newspaper cuttings, mainly concerning the Boat Race.
The collection additionally includes:
- Minutes of committee meetings and Captains' meetings;
- A commonplace book of the Rev. W.B.R. Jacobson, an oarsman in the Christ Church Eight, 1861, and the Boat Race crew, 1862-1863.
