Eighteen miniature manuscript motor magazines, entitled ‘The Motor’, 21 Jan 1921-15 Feb 1927, 16 pages each (with one of 8 pages), with mostly colour illustrations on the upper wrappers and a number of illustrations in the text; also two single sheets, titled 'Meridian' and 'Orb', priced at 1d each; all housed in a small contemporary Gallagher’s tobacco tin (59mm x 48mm).

'The Motor' imitates a real motoring publication, featuring motor cars of the era, motoring news, advertisements and information on parts, repairs, wheels, oils and accessories. There are repeated advertisements for 'The Hustler' car and for Dunlop and Ballonette tyres with their accompanying slogans ('Dunlop Tyres - The World's Best', ‘all roads are smooth with Ballonette’). A number of articles cover public transport in London such as the formation of the Central Omnibus Company and new bus design.
