With a copy of The Bloemfontein Post, 26 December 1900, including an article about the launch of Pom Pom and a postcard from M.L.T. in Bloemfontein to Miss A.V. Tew in Hampshire, 25 May 1900.

The 1st Battalion of the Oxfordshire Light Infantry saw extensive service in Southern Africa during the South African War, including the relief of Kimberley and the Battle of Paardeberg.
