Biographical / Historical

Paddy Summerfield is a fine art photographer who has lived and worked in Oxford throughout his life. He trained at the Guildford School of Art and documents street life, focusing on abandonment and loss.

His work has been exhibited at the Serpentine Gallery, Photographers' Gallery and Barbican in London, at Modern Art Oxford and at the Museum of Film & Photography, Bradford.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Donated to the Bodleian by Nigel Hamway in 2020.
