Binding: red paper on boards. Gilt edges. Originally probably 66 leaves in 7 gatherings: 1(10), 2-7(8), plus end-papers. The outer pages of each gathering were plain; the inner pages were ruled with 9 staves. Many of the pieces were pasted to stubs of leaves which had been cut out, or to existing leaves. Present total: i + 189 leaves. Watermark: AL GIROUX A PARIS; counter-mark: monogram C.S. with spray of leaves.
