White (The Arts Council of Great Britain), BBC (mainly regarding translations of Virgil, Aeneid, Homer, Iliad, and Goethe, Faust), Anthony Blunt (including a reference for John White = Closed), Robert Conquest, Anthony Decavalles, Denis Devlin, T.S. Eliot, Faber and Faber Ltd. (including royalty accounts for MacNeice, 1951-1953).
- Folder 2: Correspondence I-W and miscellaneous. Correspondents include John Lehmann ( The London Magazine), Norman MacCaig, New Statesman & Nation, The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Observer (including a letter to the editor by Sean O'Casey regarding MacNeice's review of 'Roses and Crown'), Oxford University Press, The P.E.N, Institute of Contemporary Arts, Peter Russell ( Nine), Radio Italiana, Edith Sitwell, Stephen Spender ( Encounter), Süddeutscher Rundfunk, World Review. Also includes galley proofs of poem 'Cock o' the North', with MS. corrections.
